From the time the first change, the project design for the religious outfit with the introduction of the three-storey clothing (Tricivara) was conducted. It consists of three parts, a bodice (uttarasanga), a robe inside the lower body (antarasavaka) and an additional outer coat (shangati) for keeping warm or the like. Japanese monks often a cloak when special prayers than their daily outfits, made from patches of silk brocade. This gown is designed in ancient Buddha's shirt, and looks like a mandala painting, shapes on it is said to symbolize the universe.
